Are you sure you *really* know what a sequence of characters is?
Just incase you weren't too sure, RFC 3987 defines it for you:
sequence of characters: A sequence of characters (one after another).
ohh, really? Well, just incase you weren't sure, lets define a sequence of octets:
sequence of octets: A sequence of octets (one after another).
